IMAGE OF SELF

GUIDING STATEMENTS

ONLY GOD CAN FULLY APPREHEND THE IMMEASURABLE WORTH OF EVERY PERSON.

MY WORTH IS NOT DETERMINED BY WHAT I DO OR HAVE DONE, WHAT I HAVE OR DON'T HAVE, MY APPEARANCE OR WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK OF ME.

MY WORTH AS A HUMAN BEING IS FOUNDED ON THE REALITY THAT I HAVE BEEN CREATED, UNLIKE ANY OTHER LIVING THING, "IN THE IMAGE OF GOD."

NO PERSON IS WORTH MORE, AND NO PERSON IS WORTH LESS THAN ANY OTHER PERSON.

WHEN I JUDGE ANOTHER PERSON, I DEVALUE ALL OF HUMANITY INCLUDING MYSELF.

MY IMAGE OF MYSELF AND MY WORTH AS A PERSON MAY NOT BE THE SAME.

HOW I PERCEIVE OR IMAGINE MYSELF WILL AFFECT EVERYTHING I DO.

GOD LONGS FOR ME TO EXPERIENCE ABUNDANCE. HOWEVER, I AM OFTEN DECEIVED INTO BELIEVING AND BEHAVING IN WAYS THAT PREVENT THIS GOODNESS.

THE TRUEST THING ABOUT ME IS THAT I AM GOD'S BELOVED.

I WILL EXPERIENCE MORE OF THE ABUNDANCE GOD DESIRES FOR ME WHEN I HAVE A TRUE SELF-IMAGE.

CORRECTING MY IMAGE OF MYSELF REQUIRES INTENTIONALITY, DISCIPLINE, AND HELP FROM SPIRIT.

IF I DON'T CONSIDER MYSELF WORTHY OF BEING LOVED, I WILL NOT EXPERIENCE GOD'S LOVE.

TO EXPERIENCE ALL THAT GOD DESIRES AND DESIGNED ME FOR, I MUST PARTICIPATE IN AN AUTHENTIC, VULNERABLE RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.

CORRECTING MY IMAGE OF MYSELF REQUIRES A LOVING COMMUNITY.

WHEN ADAM AND EVE DISOBEYED, WHAT CHANGED WAS THEIR IMAGE OF THEMSELVES.

JESUS’ LIFE, DEATH, AND RESURRECTION MAKES HEALING OF MY MISTAKEN SELF-IMAGE POSSIBLE.

A TRUTHFUL IMAGE OF MYSELF AND A TRUTHFUL IMAGE OF GOD STRENGTHEN EACH OTHER.

A TRUTHFUL IMAGE OF MYSELF WILL NOT CAUSE ME TO BECOME PROUD; RATHER IT WILL LEAD TO MY HUMILITY.

WHEN I DEVALUE MYSELF, GOD FEELS SAD.

WE MAY NOT ALL BE EQUAL, BUT WE ARE ALL IRREPLACEABLE.
